We're changing our MIS provider, what do we need to do?

        Article summary

Your school may decide to change or 'migrate' your Management Information System (MIS) at any time of year. MIS providers include SIMS, Bromcom, and Arbor to name a few.

        If you use Arbor

Before you follow the instructions below please ensure that subjects have been added to your classes in Arbor. This will save you time later as it will be easier to find your Maths classes in Sparx. Use this guide provided by Arbor for more information.

        When you're ready to change:

        • Let Wonde know you're changing MIS provider via email at support@wonde.com

Once you've done this they will ensure that your new MIS is connected and that they're receiving the new information.

        What we'll then do:

        • Ahead of the migration into Sparx we'll temporarily turn off your nightly sync (Wonde will let us know when this is about to happen)

        • Once Wonde tells us the migration is complete, we'll check the new data we are seeing to ensure student records and classes match

        • If it all looks good, we'll carry out a manual sync and then turn the nightly auto sync back on for you.

NOTE: You may need to wait a few days post-migration for everything to be back to normal so if new students or class changes are made in your MIS during this time they might not be reflected immediately in your Sparx site.
