How to subscribe, renew, and manage payment timing.

Updated today

Important information

  • Subscriptions cover your whole school

  • Any teacher at your school can agree to subscribe

  • You must agree to subscription renewal before your trial period or current subscription ends, to maintain access

  • You can submit one purchase order if you use multiple Sparx Learning products, though separate invoices will be issued

  • When you submit an agree to subscribe, you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions so please make sure you are happy to proceed before saving your request.

This article is intended for schools that manage and pay for their subscription themselves (rather than their MAT or parent organisation managing their subscription).

Payment timing options

Using the current academic year's budget

  • Agree to your subscription before the end of this academic year or end of trial period

  • Submit your PO promptly

  • You can settle the invoice immediately using the current year's budget

Using next academic year's budget

  • Still agree to your subscription before the current academic year or trial ends

  • Payment won't be due until 28 days after your new subscription starts

  • For most UK schools, this means payment is due by the end of September

Frequently asked questions

When should I start the subscription renewal process?

We recommend starting the renewal process at least 4-6 weeks before your current subscription ends to ensure a smooth transition and maintain uninterrupted access.

What happens if we don't renew before the academic year ends?

Access to Sparx Reader will be automatically suspended if we don't receive a subscription agreement in your Sparx site before the end of the academic year. To avoid any disruption, make sure to complete the renewal process before then.

Can I change the subscription length after agreeing?

Contact us using the 'Help & Support' option in your Sparx Reader site if you need to change your subscription length after submitting your agreement.

What should I do if our Finance Contact changes?

You can update the Finance Contact details in Staff Manager before submitting your subscription agreement to ensure the correct person receives the PO request.
